Welcome to the 2010 – 2011 School Year!

The Parent Action Crew will have it's first meeting of the school year next Tuesday, Sept 7, 6PM at the school. All parents of Polaris students are members of the PAC. Your participation has allowed us to support the school in so many ways. We have come together at community events, brought in dinners and breakfasts for the teachers during Conferences, supported the Office staff, participated in classroom learning, and gone on Adventures with the students.

Volunteers in and around school activities show our students how much we value and support their education. We also can provide role models for our kids as involved parents.

Last Year the PAC raised $6,366 to donate to the school.

Over the past two years we have given over $8000 toward classroom supplies, books, digital cameras, and computer technology.

We have also provided $6180 toward Adventure Scholarships.

That level of support has meant that no student has been refused from participating in an Adventure trip for financial reasons. Last year, we supported 20 students with full or partial scholarships.

Come by for the meeting on Tuesday and help us coordinate this year's activities.
